Michael Mendez, an Orlando immigration criminal defense lawyer, practices in the firm’s immigration section and focuses on deportation defense, appeals, and defense of immigration cases involving criminal matters. Mr. Mendez is uniquely qualified to represent clients in deportation proceedings, appeals and other immigration matters involving past criminal records, since Mr. Mendez worked for the Public Defender’s Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he obtained valuable skills with regard to criminal defense law. Mr. Mendez left the Public Defender’s Office with a flawless trial record and has subsequently litigated matters in various fields, including workers' compensation, criminal defense, business litigation and immigration law.
Mr. Mendez’s fluency in Spanish and his experience with criminal law has resulted in the successful representation of clients before the immigration court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS, and in numerous cases throughout the State of Florida involving criminal charges stemming from immigration-related violations. Mr. Mendez also handles family based petitions, fiancé visas, naturalizations, and adjustment petitions. Additionally, Mr. Mendez continues to aggressively represent several of the firm’s clients in workers’ compensation matters.
Mr. Mendez is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association and Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
